Andrea Bocelli To Perform Easter Concert In Empty Cathedral

Music sensation Andrea Bocelli will perform an Easter concert in Milan at the Duomo Cathedral. The catch is that the cathedral will be empty due to the ongoing crisis in both Italy and the world. The concert will be live-streamed on YouTube for viewers all around the world to enjoy.
Bocelli was quoted as saying, “I believe in the strength of praying together” and “I believe in the Christian Easter, a universal symbol of rebirth that everyone, whether they are believers or not, truly needs right now.”
The concert is entitled “Music for Hope” and organist Emanuele Vianelli will accompany the legendary Bocelli for this performance. Pieces will include “Ave Maria”, “Sancta Maria” and “Amazing Grace”.
The Easter concert came together after an invitation from Milan’s mayour Giuseppe Sala.
The concert will become available on Bocelli’s YouTube page at 7:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 12th (1:00 p.m. Milan Time).
