Tiny African Nation’s First Lady To Face Murder Charge

The tiny African nation of Lesotho has made news headlines with the shocking development that its first lady, Maesaiah Thabane, will be charged with murder in connection with the killing of the former wife of the prime minister.
Thabane refused to report to the police for questioning, and fled Lesotho to hide in South Africa to avoid the murder charges.
She returned to Lesotho on Tuesday afternoon and turned herself into police headquarters located in the capital city of Maseru.
The murder occurred two days before the re inauguration of the prime minister for his second term. However, last month, the 80 year old prime minister announced that he has intentions to step down from his position, but did not state exactly when that would occur.
